Procedure for Election of Vice Mayor:
NOTE: A nomination does not require a second.
1. Mayor: I will now recognize, individually, members wishing to make a nomination for the office of Vice Mayor.
After each nomination:
(if no discussion/comment) - "Mr./Ms. __________ has been nominated.
(if discussion/comment) - discussion by Council members, comments by Mr./Ms. __________. Discussion on the nomination of Mr./Ms. __________ is now closed.
2. Are there any further nominations? Hearing none, I declare the nominations closed.
3. Vote on names in order of nomination. The first person receiving four or more votes shall be declared Vice Mayor.
Mayor: _____Person's Name_____ has received the majority vote and the Chair declares _____Person's Name_____ Vice Mayor.
