Consideration of an Appointment to the Eastern Virginia Medical School Board of Visitors
Purpose
PURPOSE/BACKGROUND:
Dr. Naved A. Jafri has served one term and is eligible for reappointment to another term. Council is being asked to reappoint him to serve a second term until January 31, 2026.
There are individuals in the Board Bank who have expressed a desire to serve on this board. Those applications are being provided to Council.
Current Demographics
This board consists of one member each from Hampton and Newport News; two from Portsmouth; two from Virginia Beach; and six from Norfolk.
