Purpose
PURPOSE/BACKGROUND:
The City owns a certain parcel of land currently consisting of 0.9402 ± Acres (40,955 Sq. Ft.), being identified as LRSN 13002652, which is unaddressed, and along Freeman Drive (the “Property”). The City Council has designated the Hampton Redevelopment and Housing Authority (“HRHA”) as the agency to implement the City's Community Plan as it relates to residential development and redevelopment with a residential component. HRHA owns property adjacent to this Property. Transferring the Property to the HRHA is consistent with this policy and will allow the City to establish an easement for drainage to support an adjacent multifamily development identified as LRSN 13004332 (H2O, LLC).

WHEREAS, the City of Hampton (“City”) owns a certain parcel of land currently consisting of 0.9402 ± Acres (40,955 Sq. Ft.), being identified as LRSN 13002652, which is unaddressed, and along Freeman Drive (the "Property”);

WHEREAS, the City Council has designated the Hampton Redevelopment and Housing Authority (“HRHA”) as the agency to implement the City’s Community Plan as it relates to residential development and redevelopment with a residential component;

WHEREAS, the City accordingly desires to transfer title to the Property to the HRHA for redevelopment in accordance with the City’s Community Plan and to establish all such necessary easements through that transfer; and
