Briefing on Proposed Comprehensive Violence Reduction Strategies
Purpose
PURPOSE/BACKGROUND:
Update on best practices that have the potential to reduce violence in the City of Hampton.
Discussion:
Planning and implementing strategies to reduce violence that will provide additional resources to those who are actively participating in violence and those who present a greater risk for involvement in negative behaviors.
Impact:
These efforts support the goals identified in both Safe and Clean Communities and Family Resilience and Economic Empowerment Council Strategic Priority Areas.
Recommendation:
Rec
Approve the addition of funding to support the implementation of efforts intended to reduce violence.
